Education (School/Tuition Fees)
African Girls Hope Foundation empowers African girls, ages 6-18, by providing them with education. In Africa education is not free! This cost prevents many from attending any school. Most of the girls we support are orphans and refugees as a result of wars in their country and have little to no resources to pay for school. Many have been displaced.
We aim to help these girls go to school! Your donations make this happen. Children cannot enter each year without first paying school entrance fees(tuition). Namely: School Entrance Fees (tuition), Yearly Registration fees, Exam fees, School Lunch and transportation. These fees vary depending on which school the girl enters.
Girls are screened and then placed in several local schools throughout Kenya and the DRC. Girls whose schooling is funded by African Girls Hope are then mentored and counseled by AGHF staff helping them achieve their goals and finish school successfully.
UNIFORMS & SHOES
African Girls Hope Foundation empowers African girls, ages 6-18, by providing them with education.
Schools in Africa require the children to have a complete school uniform and school shoes. Each school has their own unique uniform. The uniform must be purchased by the family. This can be a large stumbling block for many children. With your donation, girls can obtain clothing and shoes to be able to attend school.
SUPPLIES & BACKPACKS
African Girls Hope Foundation empowers African girls, ages 6-18, by providing them with education.
Children in Africa must bring their own school supplies to school. Bags to carry the supplies and materials are desperately needed.
Your donation will help a girl enter school and have the supplies she needs to study, learn and succeed.

Pads Project
African Girls Hope Foundation empowers African girls, ages 6-18, by providing them with education.
Feminine hygiene products are necessary for every girl, every month. Without pads girls end up missing a week of school every month.

Mentorship & Counseling
We provide each girl with guidance to help her succeed in her education. Mentor and counseling programs are run by AGHF staff located in Africa.
We recognize the challenges these girls face and work to help them overcome their difficult childhood experiences, traumas, and prepare them to face the future with confidence.
We encourage the girls to define their dreams and help them envision a future in which they can be successful in their homes and in their communities.
