Meet
Nicole L. Meade, PHR, SHRM-CP, M.Ed.
Nicole is an organizational development and education professional with more than 28 years of experience designing and leading learning, leadership, and performance initiatives that strengthen individuals and institutions. Throughout her career, she has focused on building sustainable systems that expand access to education, develop leadership capacity, and create measurable, long-term impactāvalues that closely align with the mission of the African Girls Hope Foundation.
Strong supporter and volunteer - AGHF Gala Chair
Nicole is actively involved with the African Girls Hope Foundation, having chaired the Foundationās annual gala fundraising event for the past two years. In this role, she oversees all aspects of the event to ensure it is well organized, engaging, and aligned with the organizationās mission and fundraising goals, directly advancing the Foundationās ability to provide educational opportunities for orphaned and refugee girls in Sub-Saharan Africa. This hands-on involvement deepens her understanding of the Foundationās programs, stakeholders, and long-term vision.
She is deeply inspired by the Foundationās commitment to āFund an Education, Fund a Life,ā which ensures access to quality education for girls who face significant barriers to enrollment and completion of secondary school. The Foundationās holistic approachāproviding scholarships, school supplies, uniforms, and mentoringāreflects her belief that education must be supported by strong systems and meaningful relationships to create lasting change.
Bringing experience and deep capacity
Nicole holds a Master of Education in Human Resource Development from the University of Georgia and brings deep expertise in organizational and leadership development, mentoring, and capacity building. She has partnered extensively with senior leaders and boards to align strategy with talent development, facilitate strategic planning, and implement frameworks that promote accountability and organizational sustainability.

On a personal level, Nicole is a proud BOY mom, which makes her especially enthusiastic about supporting GIRLSā education in Africa. She believes that empowering girls through education strengthens families, communities, and future generations.
As a board member, Nicole looks forward to collaborating with fellow board members, volunteers, and staff to steward the African Girls Hope Foundationās mission with integrity, purpose, and long-term impact.
